DEFINITIONS

Club by laws state that members may not compete in Club championships or tournaments in any year, until they have played five (5) Club rounds in that year.

The Tournament and Rules Committee reserve the right to change events, etc., if necessary (e.g., inclement weather, course conditions or other extraordinary conditions or situations).

All flights and payouts will be based on the number of golfers for the event.

To be a scheduled event 12 members need to play. Members playing where they are representing Goodrich Men’s Golf are included in the event.

All club team events will have a random draw for missing players. A golfer can only be drawn once a year.

All blind draw events the blind draw will be conducted after the round has completed.

2 Man 14-15-23

A two-players team low net event.

  • Use the lowest net score on all Par 4 and Par 5 holes, use both net scores on all Par 3 holes.

2 Man Scramble (Guests Welcome) - Entry Fee

A two-players team low gross event counting one ball on each hole where Goodrich Men’s Golf Club members invite nonmembers to play a round of golf.

  • Use the lowest net score for each hole.
  • Keep a cumulative total by hole (± Net Par) for the team.
  • Cash payouts will be determined based on the number of golfers.

2 Man Best Ball Red-Gold-White

A two-player team low net event counting one ball on each hole.

  • Use the lowest net score for each hole.
  • Play from the appropriate color tee in a rotating fashion 1st hole from red tee, 2nd hole from gold tee, 3rd hole from white tee, then start over again.
  • Keep a cumulative total by hole (± Net Par) for the team.

A two-players team low net event counting Best Ball on holes 1-6, Alternate shots on holes 7-12 and Scramble on hole 13-18.

A two-player team low net event counting one ball on each odd hole and two balls on each even hole.

  • Use the lowest net score for each odd hole.

2 Man Quota Points

A two-player team event counts both players points on each hole.

  • Assigned Quota is the sum of the players handicaps, subtracted from 72.
  • Cumulative points - Keep a cumulative total by hole for the team.
  • Total points, less team Quota is the team score.
  • Keep a cumulative total by hole (± Net Par) for the team.

Quota points are the difference between the player(s) handicap, subtracted from 36. [Example: 36-10=26 Quota Points at 10 handicap]

A two-player team event counts the player with the most points on each hole.

Club Championship

Individual, two-day low gross event.

  • All flights play 36 holes. The Club Champion is the player with the lowest total gross score playing the blue tee box.
  • A player can only win one category, with low gross taking precedence.
  • Low net and gross payouts in the Club Champion divisions.
  • The Tournament and Rules Committee will determine the rules of play for the Tournament

A four-player team low net event.

  • Use the lowest net score for each hole between your A and B players.
  • Use the lowest net score for each hole between your C and D players.

Foursome String Scramble Draw - Entry Fee

A four-player gross team scrambled event. A skins game may be included in the event at the discretion of the tournament and rules committee.

  • Each team will start with a length of string based on individual handicaps.
  • You can trade string for strokes (Example: use 2 feet of string for a birdie instead of putting 2 feet for a par).
  • String can be used at any time. Cut off the length of string used, and discard.

Foursome TRIANGLE (3 Ball 6,12,18 2 Ball Rest)

A 4-player team event counts the three lowest net balls on holes 6,12,18 and the 2 lowest net balls on the remaining holes.

Foursome WALTZ (1-2-3)

A 4-player team event counts the lowest net score on hole 1, 2 lowest net scores 2 and three lowest net scores on holes 3. Doing the same order on the rest of the holes

Individual Composite 18 of 54-Flighted

A 3-day individual low net event (18-hole minimum). Play 1, 2 or 3 rounds.

Composite gross score minus current handicap = Net score [80 – 10 = 70]. {Example:10 handicap}

Individual Darrel Scott

A shotgun 1-day individual low net event. Net score is your gross score, minus your current 18-hole handicap for the tee box you played. The golfer with the lowest net score is the Darrel Scott champion.

Individual Darrel Scott, Putting Contest - Entry Fee

After the Darrel Scott event has finished there is an optional cash event putting contest on the practice putting green.

Individual Low Net-Flighted

  • The winner of each flight will be the golfer with lowest net score for the flight. Net score is your gross score, minus your current 18-hole handicap for the tee box you played.

The tournament and Rules Committee will establish flights for individual handicap ranges.
